Energy saving tip #2: Wrap up this winter.....
Laughing  Put a blanket around your geyser. You can buy a special one from the hardware store, or just use a normal blanket. This insulates the geyser and keeps the heat inside. Your geyser uses about 40% of your total electricity without insulation, but this can be minimized substantially.

WHY SAVE ELECTRICITY?

• Cape Town’s current electricity situation means that we are in for a

dark, cold winter unless we all start saving in our homes.

• Saving electricity saves you money!

• Saving electricity saves the environment at the same time.

The creation of electricity in South Africa is a dirty business, and
contributes substantially to air pollution and climate change.
